How The Way Inn Came to Be

The Yoga Way Inn, LLC (aka The Way Inn) grew from a simple question: How could this property to be of the highest service to the Yogaville sangha (community)?

In 2026, the owner and a group of yoga practitioners and friends began caring for a few modest properties near Satchidananda Ashram at Yogaville. What started as informal hospitality for visiting yogis became something more: a living village sangha where guests and residents share the land, the quiet, and the rhythm of contemplative life.

We are not a hotel. We are not officially affiliated with the Ashram — though we are its grateful neighbors. We are part of the community rooted in the Integral Yoga tradition of Sri Swami Satchidananda, offering sanctuary stays, membership, and programs for those drawn to practice, rest, and meaningful contribution.

The Yoga Way Inn, LLC is operated by AgniWellCare, Inc., a Virginia religious nonprofit. Our mission is simple: to create conditions where restoration, self-inquiry, and spiritual community can naturally arise.

Is The Way Inn Right for You?

We welcome guests who resonate with our values and environment. To ensure a meaningful stay for everyone, please consider whether this describes you:

✓ I'm comfortable with quiet, nature-forward environments (including early-morning roosters and free-roaming chickens)

✓ I understand this is a shared sanctuary with other guests and community members nearby

✓ I'm open to unplugging and slowing down — this is not a full-service resort

✓ I respect substance-free, smoke-free, and pet-free spaces

✓ I appreciate simplicity and can prepare my own meals in a private kitchen

✓ I'm interested in yoga, meditation, or contemplative practice — or simply seeking deep rest

If this sounds like home, we'd love to welcome you to fill out the Guest Compatibility Survey. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out — we're happy to answer questions before you book.

Rooted in Integral Yoga
& The Yoga Tradition

The Way Inn provides a physical sanctuary for rest and alignment, deeply woven into the spiritual fabric of the Yogaville community. While we offer a place to arrive and recalibrate, our sister nonprofit, AgniWell Care, focuses on the lifelong journey of participation, community service, and the sangha community.

The Way Inn draws inspiration from the Integral Yoga tradition as taught by Sri Swami Satchidananda — a path that honors all approaches to truth and emphasizes the unity beneath diversity.

Just minutes from our door stands the LOTUS (Light of Truth Universal Shrine), a sanctuary built to honor all world religions and remind us that beneath every tradition lies the same light.

We carry this spirit into our hospitality: welcoming guests of all backgrounds, offering space for practice without prescription, and trusting that each person already holds the wisdom they need — they simply need room to remember.

Our guiding values:

  • Ahimsa — Nonviolence in word, action, and intention

  • Seva — Selfless service as spiritual practice

  • Satsang — The company of truth-seekers

  • Santosha — Contentment with simplicity

Whether you come for a weekend of stillness or an extended stay in service, you are part of this living tradition.
